After Easter

by Anne Devlin

The Story

Banshees, the living dead and nuns in track-suits - if 'Northern Ireland' makes you think merely of religious conflicts, then After Easter will radically change your views.

The play revolves around three sisters who, after drifting apart over the years, have a rather unwanted family reunion in Belfast. With one of them coming directly from the psychiatric ward and their father fatally ill, this get-together is bound to be one of the turbulent sort. Comic and touching, it confronts the esranged family members with their opposing attitudes and their pasts.
