The Story

The widow’s jug is broken and she expects nothing less than justice, for her daughter’s honour and reputation are inextricably linked to its intactness.

The judge needs a diversionary tactic to bluff his way through a government inspection, and this seems like the ideal case to prove his competence.

But slowly it becomes apparent that there is more to this than meets the eye, and the daughter seems to know more than she is saying…
