The Story
Weird scenes in a graveyard and an anti-fascist fracas as the remnants of the Spanish Civil War come to Dublin, and meet with prostitution, American
corporatism, and Irish piety.
As much a revue as a play, Behan's last theatrical work is to be taken with a grain of salt, perhaps, but there is still a good deal of easily digestible material to chew
on. The work contains social and political content, a good deal of irreverence for the institutions of church, state and marriage, and lots of songs and laughs.
